Project Formation

The company has to its credit a number of projects implemented in the areas of health, education, science, environment and rural development. The company receives a fee for its services in the form either of a lump sum payment or of a percentage of total project cost. Technology Links invariably works with multinational trading companies as their agent and counterpart in Pakistan.

Project business starts with a concept, which is turned into reality through the process of project formation and development of a scheme, until the project is cleared and approved by the various bureaucratic channels. Simultaneously, Technology Links also lines up commitments for the project in the form of grants, state credits and commercial credits.

Projects are generally implemented under foreign assistance to Pakistan. International organizations, which provide aid for such projects include:
World Bank
Asian Development Bank
World Health Organization
United Nations Children’s Fund
United Nation Development Program
international Labor Organization
Islamic Development Bank
International Atomic Energy Agency

As well as the above international organizations, there are a number of country sponsored organizations which provide aid to Pakistan on a bilateral basis. These include:

• USAID – America
• GTZ – Germany
• KFW – Germany
• JICA – Japan
• JBIC – Japan
• CIDA – Canada
• DFID – United Kingdom
• KOTRA- Korea
• EDCF- Korea

In addition to these sources, there are state credits available from countries such as France, Britain, Norway, Italy, Sweden, Korea and Spain. With the recent emphasis on the social sectors by the Government of Pakistan, there is a likelihood of funds being made available to the social sectors of the economy. It is expected that both Technology Links and its partners will be able to benefit from this.

It is worthy to note that Technology Links has also been associated with projects outside Pakistan, primarily because it is considered to possess the requisite knowledge, experience and manpower to handle such projects. It has also been invited by multinational trading companies overseas to participate in initiating projects in countries of their interest. Present areas of overseas operations include countries of the Far East, Indo-China, Central Asia and Africa. Since Technology Links specializes in laboratory and educational training equipment, multinational companies finds it ideal to involve us in their packaging and promotional requirements. The countries in which the Company has so far been involved with are:
